With Bottna Inn as your base, you have direct access to the popular Sotenäs Trail, part of the Kuststigen Coastal Path – one of Bohuslän’s most beloved hiking routes. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque fishing villages, cross rugged granite cliffs, and wander through lush forests, all accompanied by breathtaking views of the sea.
Hiking with Bottna Inn as your starting point is both easy and convenient. Bus 860 on the Gothenburg–Smögen route stops just 400 metres south of the inn, making it simple to combine your hike with public transport – perfect for both short excursions and longer adventures.

Charming Fjällbacka
Welcome to a stay where drama, beauty, and culinary experiences come together in one of Sweden’s most enchanting coastal destinations. Our Fjällbacka Package is perfect for those who want to combine relaxation with intriguing history and an authentic coastal experience.
Stay comfortably in a shared double room and enjoy a delicious two-course dinner in our restaurant (drinks not included). In the morning, a generous breakfast buffet awaits before the adventure begins.
The highlight of the package is our 1-hour guided Murder Mystery Walk in Fjällbacka, where you’ll follow in the footsteps of both real-life events and the stories that have made the area world-famous – a perfect blend of culture, history, and suspense.
To make your stay even more memorable, the package also includes:
- A Fjällbacka souvenir to take home
- A coffee basket with fika for two, best enjoyed by the sea or among the cliffs
- An informational brochure about Fjällbacka, allowing you to explore the area on your own

Every year we organize a wonderful art walk around the Bottna Fjord. On September 18–20, 2026, it’s time again!
More than 20 artists will be exhibiting at several different locations. Some can be reached on foot, while others are best accessed by car. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists in their own environment, purchase beautiful art and handicrafts, maybe even sign up for a course in the autumn—and perhaps discover your new hobby?
The package includes accommodation, a two-course dinner, a coffee break picnic basket, sauna and spa relaxation, as well as a map showing the various exhibition locations.

We have a wonderful selection of books for all our guests, but for those visiting solo, we offer something truly special. Imagine a place where you can enjoy peace, unwind completely, and simply be yourself.

Trail walking
Forest, lake, sea, cliffs, meadows – all in one day. The Sote Trail starts about 500 meters from Bottna Inn and ends roughly 60 km west at Malmön (including a ferry ride).
Then it’s either time to head back, or you can choose to stay overnight along the way and enjoy day hikes. Around Bottna, the local heritage association has arranged three beautiful hiking trails. Which will you choose?
The package includes overnight accommodation, a two-course dinner, and a packed lunch. Of course, everyone booking a hiking package receives a map for the journey!
Hiking in Bohuslän is like experiencing Sweden in miniature. Bottna also offers several smaller trails with interesting sites to explore. Bottna’s own Kungsklyfta is a must-see, and climbing the mountain to imagine how Bronze Age people sailed into Bottna Fjord gives a fascinating glimpse of our ancestors. Two medieval churches, Svenneby Old Church and Bottna Church, are also well worth a visit.
For extra relaxation, sauna and spa access can be added for SEK 350 per person.

Night sky
VWelcome to an unforgettable stay where silence, darkness, and a star-filled sky take center stage. Our exclusive Night Sky Package is designed for those who want to slow down, reconnect with nature, and share a truly unique experience together.
Stay comfortably in a shared double room and enjoy a delicious two-course dinner in our restaurant (drinks not included). The highlight of your stay is our guided night hike with stargazing. Your guide will safely lead you through the darkness – some sections of the trail can be challenging at night, but you’ll be in good hands every step of the way. To preserve the atmosphere, we kindly ask all guests to keep their phones on silent. At the viewpoint, hot chocolate is served – the perfect companion as you take in the night’s spectacular starry sky.
In the morning, a generous breakfast buffet awaits.
For an extra touch of luxury, you may add access to the sauna and spa for SEK 350 per person.
