A world-renowned art college founded in 1944 by the only Scandinavian invited to the
Royal Watercolour society in London. Arne Isaksson
He settled here on the shores of the Bottna fjord, mesmerised by the shifting light over the water. Arne Isaksson spent the rest of his life trying to capture the shifting colours and teaching others to do justice to the landscape.
Many of Sweden’s famous artists have studied here. The school is open to everyone and runs art courses, long ( 2 years) and short ( 1 -7 days). They also have fun and educational days for children, check out their program here .
